HERBAL MEDICINE
Herbal Medicine
Ancient medicine, thoughtfully personalized for modern life.

Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine (TCM) is one of the oldest and most time-tested systems of medicine still in use today. For thousands of years, it has been used to help the body restore balance, strengthen resilience, and address patterns of imbalance at the root.

At Source Healing, each formula is chosen and created based on your unique presentation, constitution, symptoms, and underlying root diagnosis through the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Our skilled practitioners are National Board Certified in Herbal Medicine by the NCCAOM.

What to expect

Your herbal medicine consultation includes a detailed review of your symptoms, health history, constitution, and current pattern of imbalance. We consider not only what is happening, but how and why it may be happening within the larger context of your body. From there, we create a personalized herbal plan that may include custom herbal formulas in blended tea form or capsules based on your root diagnosis.

Timelines for acute conditions can be roughly 2-4 weeks of herbal therapy. For more chronic symptoms, it can take around 3-12 months of herbal therapy. As your body changes, your formula may change too. This is part of the intelligence of Chinese Medicine: meeting the body where it is and adjusting as healing unfolds.

How herbal medicine and acupuncture work together
Traditional Chinese Medicine

Herbal medicine and acupuncture work beautifully together. Acupuncture helps regulate and shift the body during your treatment, supporting circulation, nervous system regulation, and the movement of qi. Herbal medicine continues that work between visits, offering ongoing support day by day.

This combination can be especially helpful for patients who are working with chronic conditions, internal medicine concerns, hormonal issues, stress-related symptoms, or more complex patterns that benefit from steady support over time. In many cases, acupuncture and herbs together allow us to work more deeply and more consistently than either approach alone.

"They have helped me with managing stress, IBS, anxiety, depression, changing my diet, weight loss, back pain and migraines, I cannot imagine life without them. Source Healing keeps me together and calm in the midst of this stressful and crazy world."   - E.L.
