Dr. Rick Brown is a chiropractic physician and certified clinical nutritionist. His background includes a BA in education with an emphasis in psychology, and sociology, with a certificate in physical education. His early interest in exploring the body-mind-spirit connection and his passion for understanding the human anatomy and physiology eventually directed him to a degree in chiropractic and a license in clinical nutrition. Christie has been studying the healing arts for over 15 years. She received a Masters Degree from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine. She is national board certified by the NCCAOM and licensed in the state of Illinois for acupuncture. She received her BA from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champagne. Interest in Chinese medicine began for Mary while studying abroad in Scotland through a course called Spirituality, Health and Healing. The class explored alternative therapies to achieve health, how our perception can alter our health, and healing when physical healing is not possible. Combined with an interest in medicine and Taoist philosophy, she returned to the states and enrolled at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, where she received a Masters in Traditional Oriental Medicine.
