Acupuncture
This time tested healing art is over 5000 years old. Acupuncture is done with the insertion of fine, disposable needles in over 365 acupuncture points on the body. This therapy promotes movement of energy, or Qi, in the body and is excellent for pain, infertility, anxiety, depression, digestive disorders, chronic conditions, and much more. Other forms of acupuncture offered at Source Healing other than traditional acupuncture are:
Auricular Acupuncture – also known as ear needling, it’s a technique that inserts tiny needles in certain points in the ear. It is used to treat addiction (i.e. drugs, cigarettes, food) by suppressing the cravings.
Electro Acupuncture – Electrical acupuncture units similar to Ten units are hooked up to the needles to stimulate points
Facial Acupuncture –needles inserted into specific areas of the face, ears and/or neck, as well as certain points on the body that affect the changes in the face. Brings qi and blood to the surface of the skin, and relaxes the underlying muscles that create lines, reducing the signs of aging and improving the complexion.
Koryo Hand Acupuncture – the Koreans believed that the hands are a microcosm of the human body. The corresponding hand points are needled to affect the overall health of the body.
Laser Acupuncture - The use of a low-level laser beam instead of an acupuncture needle to stimulate an acupuncture point.
Scalp Acupuncture – A specialized form of acupuncture that is used to treat spinal cord injuries and neurological disorders. Needles are inserted in certain points on the scalp to stimulate movement in the spine and/or the affected area.
