Helen first encountered Chinese medical ideas and attitudes while studying
abroad in China during college. Morning Tai Chi along with other regular
supportive care, such as massage, acupuncture and Chinese herbs helped
many of the people she met maintain an active, fulfilling lifestyle well
beyond what she expected at home.
With a BS in both biology and humanities, the holistic approach of Chinese Medicine is a perfect fit for Helen. She believes in the ability of all branches of Chinese Medicine, Qi Gong, Massage, Chinese Herbs and Acupuncture, to help heal the body and the mind. While practicing Asian Bodywork Therapy, Helen is also studying Chinese Medicine.
Touch can play a powerful role in healing, and Helen enjoys assisting
in the healing process for musculoskeletal conditions, but also for
a variety of other conditions. Her work helps open and regulate the
energetic systems of the body as well as the muscular system and therefore
can be useful as supportive care for a wide variety of conditions, including
the general achievement and maintenance of balance in the body.
