This could be a life-changing program for you if you are:

  • Graduating, a recent grad or just licensed/ clinician
  • Looking for distinctive, clinical experience with spiritual/ emotional focus for symptoms related to stress, pain, and women’s health
  • Want support to develop your identity as a practitioner
  • Looking for long-term Oriental Medicine experience
  • Wondering how to use yourself (your thoughts, feelings, perceptions, reactions) more effectively in the treatment room

ABOUT The Source Method Apprenticeship-

The Source Apprenticeship is a mentoring program for recent grads, those finishing their OM diplomate, newly licensed and national board certified practitioners who want to develop specific therapeutic skills & professional competence with clients including those who are experiencing stress related symptoms that manifest in the physical body.

  • Develop clinical confidence in working with fertility, prenatal, pre birth, and post natal women
  • Strengthen your identity as a practitioner and use your unique strengths
  • Deepen your clinical skills
  • Deepen your trust in your intuition and strengthen your own awareness
  • Understand your own healing path
  • Deepen your understanding of breath, stones, and energy as healing tools
  • Build stronger communication skills
  • Develop great bedside manner and professionalism


Apprentices are expected to:

  • If you are about to graduate, observe 5-8 hours of client treatments weekly
  • If you have your license, hold a steady caseload of 5-8 weekly clients or more after an appropriate observation time
  • Attend and participate in our Weekly Think Tank on Monday mornings
  • Attend monthly In Service Training
  • Attend and participate in other relevant learning opportunities within the practice
  • Invest in learning, growth and development through all aspects of the program
  • On average, a commitment of 10 hours per week is expected, with some weeks being lighter and some being heavier.



  • Ac. and Dipl.OM. or plan on having completed between Jan-July 2017.
  • A passion for making a difference in people’s lives
  • A strong belief in the benefits of TCM
  • Accountability and strong work ethic
  • Flexibility and open to change
  • Ease with working in a team environment
  • An interest and commitment to incorporating or deepening the use of self-awareness as a path of healing
  • 2 letters of reference, at least one from a current supervisor of clinical work
  • Fluency in a non-English language a plus, not required
  • Experience in pediatrics, women’s health big plus, not required
  • An inherent geekiness about Chinese Herbs

Acceptance decisions will be made: by Tuesday Jan 31, 2017

Program Orientation:  TBD early Feb 2017

Spaces are limited.  Up to 3 practitioners will be selected for the 2017 cohort.
